Thousands of people took part in a march Sunday afternoon in Bucharest, calling for Basarabia’s unification with Romania. The march started from the Victoria Square and ended at the Parliament palace, where the participants unfolded a 1,000 sqm tricoloured flag. According to the organizers, nearly 10,000 people attended the event. The participants, among which there were also Moldovan citizens, carried tricoloured flags and placards with messages such as “We want the Unification” and “We are brothers, no matter what. We are calling for unification!”. Similar events took place yesterday in Paris, Rome, Barcelona and New York, at the initiative of the Romanian and Moldovan citizens working abroad, the organizers informed.
