On June 20, 2014, 8.00 p.m. fans will have the opportunity to listen to Jethro Tull’s most famous hits played live by the best known flutist in rock, Ian Anderson. With one ticket category sold out and another on the verge of being sold out, the cheapest tickets to Jethro Tull’s performance in Bucharest on June 20, priced at RON 50, are no longer available. The remaining tickets that are available can be purchased at RON 100, RON 150, RON 200, or RON 250, depending on their location in the concert hall. “The show was intended as a Best Of, so we will be playing the best known Jethro Tull songs from 1969 until now. We will also include several tracks off ‘Homo Erraticus’ and ‘TAAB’ and other more unusual ones,” Anderson said about the upcoming Bucharest concert. In the weeks to come, Ian Anderson and his band will be performing in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, and Great Britain.
The genius behind Jethro Tull and the man who first introduced the flute in rock music, Ian Anderson is as modest as he is famous. “There have been others before me who have played the pipe but I guess the difference was that I made it the focus of rock music and after all these years I am probably the best known guy who plays the rock flute combined with other musical genres we have experimented with in the course of time. I was the one who gave it a more predominant role, equal to the electric guitar and other powerful instruments. But I am not the only one. I’m just the loudest!” Anderson explained cheerfully.
