Twin Arts: Dhafer Youssef to sing in Bucharest in April 2014

Jazz Night Out events series continues with the great Dhafer Youssef who comes at Radio Hall in Bucharest on April 10, 2014, in a concert promoting his album Birds Requiem. Along Dhafer Youssef, oud and vocal, artists Kristjan Randalu, piano, Phil Donkin, double bass and Chander Sardjoe, drums will also perform on the stage, reveals
Born in Tunisia, Dhafer Youssef showed interest for jazz as a young boy, and he even managed to build his own oud, a traditional Arabic instrument deemed the ancestor of the acoustic guitar. Helped by his passion for music, he traveled all along  Europe, living in Paris and Vienna, where he currently continues his musical studies. Apart from his fondness for the oud and other musical instruments, Dhafer Youssef proved an exceptional singer, as he has worked with major artists such as Paolo Fresu, Nils-Petter Molvaer, Tigran Hamasyan, Eivind Aarset, Bugge Wesseltoft, Omar Sosa, Uri Caine, Jon Hassell or Markus Stockhausen.
On April 10, 2014, the artists is going to unfold his latest musical creation, Birds Requiem, along earlier works, in an intimate concert, held by Twin Arts. The concert will start at 10 pm, and the access will be allowed as of 7:30 pm. Access with professional cameras will not be allowed and filming is forbidden during the entire show.
Tickets for Dhafer Youssef’s concert in Bucharest range between RON 80 and 140, depending on category, and can be purchased through the Eventim network and online on Category I – RON 140, category II – RON 120, category III – RON 80. The first hundred tickets bought are included in a raffle for ten Meet & Greets with the Tunisian artist.
Jazz Night Out is an events and socializing platform whose purpose is to promote jazz and blues concerts, to hold workshops, auditions and meetings with Romanian and foreign artists.
