Vodafone Romania expanded the coverage of its 4G network in Bucharest to 27 pc of the population, equivalent to more than 500,000 inhabitants, Inaki Berroeta, CEO & President Vodafone Romania announced yesterday in a press conference. According to data released by the operator, the 4G network of Vodafone Romania covers the northern and central areas of the Capital (Piata Romana, Calea Dorobanti, Piata Unirii, Regie and Leu, Grozavesti, Petricani, Otopeni, Satul Francez, Gradina Zoologica), malls (Plaza Romania, Big Berceni, Carrefour Berceni, AFI Palace, Baneasa Shopping City), office buildings (America House, Opera Business Center, Victoria Park, Bucharest Business Park, Petrom City 2, Baneasa Business Center) and institutions (Palace of the Parliament, Government, Police Academy, Henry Coanda airport – departures). “The customers of Vodafone Romania, individual and corporate consumers are offered RED packages with top 4G speeds up to 100 Mbps, together with a diversified range of state-of-the-art 4G smartphones,” said Andrea Rossini, Director Consumer Business Unit, Vodafone Romania. According to Markus Lause, Director Enterprise Business Unit Vodafone Romania, besides the 4G services in Bucharest, they are also available in nine big towns, most of them with over 90 pc LTE (long-term evolution) coverage, respectively Arad, Bacau, Brasov, Cluj, Constanta, Craiova, Iasi, Galati and Timisoara.
