Vodafone Romania has been certified with Business Continuity Management ISO 22301 by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), being one of the first companies in Romania to receive this international standard certification that demonstrates the business resilience, recovery and contingency capabilities in unforeseen situations, a press release informs.
The BCM certificate is applicable to “design, management and provision (sales and support) of electronic communications products and services, land and mobile, voice and data, offered by Vodafone Romania to its customers across Romania.” The evaluation process included the Headquarter and the other Vodafone offices in Bucharest, the call centers, as well as other network hubs across the country.
At the same time, Vodafone has been re-awarded with the ISO 27001 certification for Information Security Management System, following a comprehensive audit conducted by KPMG Audit Plc. Vodafone was the first company in Romania certified with ISO 27001, 9 years ago, and this certificate has been successfully maintained throughout the entire period.
“(…) This international acknowledgement assures our customers that Vodafone owns strong service resilience, as well as recovery and contingency capabilities in unforeseen situations. In addition, our renewed ISO 27001 certification for the Information Security Management System acknowledges that the company owns effective information security processes. These acknowledgements, together with the long track record of p3 communications certifications for best performing mobile data network, prove Vodafone’s capacity to provide consumers and businesses with reliable services on a safe and secure network,” said Giovanni Chiarelli, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Romania. Vodafone was certified 5 times as the best performing network among all GSM/UMTS/CDMA networks in Romania by independent auditor p3 Communications, starting 2011.
