The volume “Spain: Three Millenniums of History,” launched in Bucharest

The book “Spain: Three Millenniums of History” by Antonio Dominguez Ortiz, translated in Romanian by Gheorghe Vintan and covering the history of Spain since its conquest by the Romans and up to the dictatorship of Francisco Franco, was launched in Bucharest.

According to professor Vasile Moga, Head of the Archaeology Department at the Union Department in Alba Iulia, the one who authored the preview of the work in Romanian, this is the first historical monograph dedicated to Spain that entered the Romanian specialized literature. The volume offers a wide perspective upon Spain and represents a work dedicated to the history of this country, as well as to its inhabitants. “Spain: Three Millenniums of History” is Dominguez’s last book, released in 2000. In 2008, it was published in Romania as well, at the House of Science Publishing House of Cluj-Napoca. The event organized by the Bucharest Museum and the Cervantes Institute of Bucharest will be attended by the author of the introduction to the book, University Professor Dr. Vasile Moga, by translator Gheorghe Vintan and Hispanic culture specialist Andrei Ionescu.
