Tourism Ministry to fund around EUR 20 M worth of projects in the Danube Delta

The Ministry of Tourism will fund with nearly EUR 20 M a number of projects in the Danube Delta including three mini-ports, a public beach as well as several belvederes, institution’s representatives inform according to Antena3 TV.

‘We will finance three tourist ports at Sfantu Gheorghe, Murighiol and Sarichioi. The ministry will also invest in organizing and maintaining the Sulina beach. Other funds will be spent on opening tourist information centres in a number of important Delta sights. We also intend to organize an ecumenical tourist circuit including various churches in the county’, said the representatives of the ministry.

According to them, the ministry would submit to the attention of the Government a draft resolution approving the aforementioned funds, the following week.

Tourism Minister Elena Udrea met with Tulcea local authorities on Tuesday to discuss the details of the planned projects.
