SMEs Ministry – Romanian goods promotion centre in Beijing

The Ministry of the SMEs, Trade and Business Environment is opening a centre for the promotion of Romanian goods in Beijing in September 2009, Minister Constantin Nita informed the Romanian-Chinese Economic Forum in Beijing, according to Realitatea.net.

SMEs Minister Nita invited Chinese companies to invest in Romania in infrastructure, energy, environment, farming and tourism. The Chinese companies were also advised to also consider the financial investment opportunities.

China currently is Romania’s biggest trade partner in Asia, on the first position regarding the import and on the second in terms of the export. The total trade between Romania and China at the end of 2008 was USD 3.8 bln, of which export was USD 270 M and import approximately USD 3.5 bln.
