Actress Marga Barbu’s lifeless body to be placed to the Bellu Cemetery Chapel on Saturday

The coffin with the lifeless body of actress Marga Barbu to be placed to the Bellu Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, after 10.00, to the Chapel of the Bellu Cemetery, representatives of the Romanian Filmmakers Union declared. Actress Marga Barbu, highly appreciated by film lovers for her characters Anita in the “Haiducii” series and the “Margelatu” series, costarring Florin Piersic, died on Tuesday afternoon at the Floreasca Hospital in Bucharest, after a cardiac issue she had suffered of for a long time. The late actress had celebrated her 80th birthday on February 24. Marga Barbu had graduated the Theatre Institute in Bucharest, in 1950. Afterwards, she was cast in over 30 films.

She was married with actor Constantin Codrescu and writer Eugen Barbu, who has collaborated with Nicolae Paul Mihail on the screenplays for the “Margelatu” and “Haiducii” series.
