Dinamo vs. Rapid, Round 22 derby

The Round 22 derby will be played on Saturday on Dinamo’s ‘Stefan cel Mare’ stadium. Dinamo Bucharest will play against Rapid, a team considered to be the revelation of this half of the season. Dinamo badly needs a victory in order to consolidate its position at the top of the table, while Rapid has to win in order to maintain its hopes for the title.

However, the naming of Aurelian Bogaciu and Alexandru Deaconu as referees for the derby against Dinamo has sent shivers down Grigore Sichitiu’s spine.

‘The referees are the only thing I fear in the game against Dinamo. Compromising a Dinamo vs. Rapid derby, as happened in some of the games during the first half of the season, would represent a significant question mark hanging over the value of our referees. I’m not saying mistakes couldn’t happen, I’m saying they should be human errors, not errors of a different kind,’ Sichitiu, the President of Rapid, stated for Realitatea FM.

The derby is scheduled on Saturday at 9 PM.
