Panpipe player Nicolae Voiculet will perform in North Korea

Panpipe player Nicolae Voiculet will perform a series of concerts, between April 8 and 20, in North Korea. He will be a guest of the Korean Embassy in Bucharest. Throughout his career, Nicolae Voiculet performed numerous shows in front of state officials such as Jacques Chirac, Stephen Harper (the Prime Minister of Canada), personalities of the White House and the Emir of Kuwait. Last Friday, the artist performed an one-hour long concert at the Cotroceni Palace, during the Presidential dinner offered by President Traian Basescu in the honour of his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic. Voiculet impressed his audience, including the two Presidents, who were offered a CD with an autograph by the artist. Last year, on December 1, on the National Day of Romania, the panpipe player was decorated by Traian Basescu with the Cultural Order in the Rank of Knight.
