The audience of Bucharest is invited on Friday at the Italian Cultural Institute Night to watch a theatre performance and a film and to taste traditional Italian cuisine.
Therefore, the “Violaine” theatre performance will be performed, an adaptation after “L’ Announce a Marie,” by Paul Claudel, an adaptation by Antonio Sixty and Davide Rondoni starring Franco Palmieri and Giuditta Mingucci. “Violaine” is performed by two actors and includes Claudel’s text from the edition coordinated by Antonio Sixty in 1995, as well as the TV performance realized in 1998 for Rai 2. In this new version, Franco Palmieri, one of the protagonists of the edition of 1995 as well as of the television version, and Giuditta Mingucci are performing the work by themselves, featuring broadcasted excerpts of the TV performance.
Afterwards, the audience will be offered an opportunity to watch the film “Respiro” (2002), directed by Emanuele Crialese, author of the screenplay, starring Valeria Golino, Vincenzo Amato, Francesco Casisa, Veronica D’Agostino, Filippo Pucillo and Elio Germano. The attendants to the Italian Cultural Institute Night will have the opportunity to taste typical Italian dishes. The event is organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest in partnership with Elsinor Teatro Stabile d’ Innovazione.
