Maria Dinulescu wins Buenos Aires Award

Maria Dinulescu won the award for the Best Actress for her character in the film “Angling,” directed by Adrian Sitaru, at the Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival (March 25 – April 5.

The Trophy for the Best International Film was won by the motion picture “Aquele Querido Mes de Agosto,” by Miguel Gomes, and the Award for the Best Actor went to Alfredo Castro.

The German director Maren Ade won the Award for Best Directing for her long film “Everyone Else.” “Angling” presents the story of a couple who go on a picnic on a Sunday in an attempt to solve the issues of their relationship, yet a series of strange and unexpected events turn this weekend trip into a bizarre day. The cast includes the actors Adrian Titieni, Ioana Flora and Maria Dinulescu.
