Some 24 instrument players and dancers, members of the group “Pasion de Buena Vista” will offer the Romanian audience a chance to discover the exuberant atmosphere of Havana this evening, with their fascinating rhythms of son, salsa, rumba, mambo and cha cha.
The latest project of the Cuban music elites, “Pasion de Buena Vista’ provides the recipe of a perfect performance, consisting of three of Cuba’s best vocalists – “Los Companeros de Buena Vista” Tomas Sanchez, Paquin Inocencio and Maida Castaneda – beside the remarkable instrument players of the band “La Idea” and the dancers of the famous band “Tropicana.”
The artists of “Pasion de Buena Vista” will perform this year in front of over 100,000 viewers, on the stages of Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Austria, Portugal and Spain.
Starring top personalities of Cuban music, outstanding vocalists, instrument players and dancers, the “Pasion de Buena Vista” project was initiated by Uwe Dannbacher, who fell in love with Cuba’s exotic culture while working on Wim Wenders’ film “Sons of Buena Vista.” Maida Castaneda, Tomas Sanchez, Paquin Inocencio and Antonio Castro, former collaborators of the legendary Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo abd Omara Portuondo, were the the first artists to join this project, followed by the gifted choreographer and dancer Francisco Blanco “Villa” Prada, eight dancers of the group Tropicana and the group of instrument players “La Idea,” genuine masters of the Cuban sound. The last tickets for the show “Pasion de Buena Vista” may be purchased in the Diverta stores and at the Palace Hall box office.
The audience will be granted access starting at 7 pm, and the performance will start at 8 pm.
