The Prefect’s Office of Arges sent ten more files on the cancellation of fraudulently obtained driving licenses. Thus, the total number of files sent to Court so far in this case reached 106, and the number of files presently checked by the Driving Licences Department of Arges County totalized 4,966, Mediafax reported. Moreover, twenty persons whose files were sent to Court came to the residence of the Arges Police Department yesterday, in order to submit their driving licenses to police officers and three of them also filed contestations.
“I have sent ten more files to Court and I will sign the suspension ordinance for each of these, while the Court of Pitesti will decide on our request regarding their cancellation. Some of the persons whose files were sent to Court are still in the five-day period granting them the permission to submit their licenses to police. We have no signals that anyone violated this period, at least in Arges,” Marcel Proc, Prefect of Arges County declared.
Proca also mentioned that it was likely that another series of files would be checked, and the control of the 85 files of the persons who illegitimately obtained the temporary residence visa in order to get their driving licenses was over. The files presently in the storage of the Community Public Service for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registrations of Arges County are checked, since March 4, by specialists of the Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registrations Department.
