Knee surgery to keep Mutu off the pitch for one month

Romanian international football player Adrian Mutu has undergone a knee surgery on Monday and is set to miss out four Serie A games, Fiorentina’s official website informs.

The Romanian striker of the team coached by Cesare Prandelli was operated within the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome and is scheduled to undergo a new medical check-up seven days from now.

According to the Italian doctors’ diagnosis, Adrian Mutu has to stay off the pitch for approximately 30-40 days, and will thus miss out Fiorentina’s games against Cagliari, Udinese, Roma and Torino. The Romanian player could play against Catania, a game scheduled on May 10, and will be able to play in the last four rounds of Serie A.

Mutu’s knee injury prevented him from playing in Romania’s game against Austria.
