American rapper Fat Joe to perform in Bucharest

The American rapper Fat Joe will have a concert on April 24 in Club Bamboo of Bucharest, the organizers announced.

Fat Joe, born as Joseph Cartagena, also known as Fat Joe da Gangsta, Joey Crack and Don Cartagena is one of the most famous American rappers. Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Joe gained a great popularity in the underground hip-hop ever since the 90s. He was a member of the band D.I.T.C.H. Crew (“Diggin’ in the Crates”), beside the rappers and producers Showbiz, A.G., Buckwild, O. C., Diamond D., Big L. and Lord Finesse.

Fat Joe achieved international success by hits such as “Lean Back,” “Flow Joe,” “Don Cartagena,” “What’s Luv,” “Make It Rain” and “Get It Poppin’” At the time being, he is working on his forthcoming album, a follow-up to the tremendously successful “Jealous Ones Still Envy (J. O. S. E.),” due to be entitled “J.O.S.E. 2.”
The rapper also had a film career and was cast in productions such as “Thicker then Water,” (1999), “Prison Song,” (2001), “Empire” (2002), “Scary Movie 3,” (2003) and “Happy Feet” (2006) as Seymour’s voice. Throughout his career, Fat Joe has worked with artists such as Ja Rule, Ashanti, Thalia, Irv Gotti, NAS, Raekwon, Busta Rhymes, DMX, KRS – One, Nelly, Jadakiss, The Game, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Jennifer Lopez, Mims, Jim Jones, Eminem, J. Holiday, Lil Jon, Sean Combs and many others.

The entrance fee is RON 50.
