E.ON: Gas price should go down on a medium term

Natural gas price should drop on a medium term in correlation with the costs of supply rather than immediately, starting from May 1, because any subsequent price increase would become more difficult to bear, reads a press release of gas and electricity supplier E.ON Romania, Mediafax informs. Any decision to cut the end price needs to be based on a sustainable solution on a medium term: an immediate end price cut not correlated to the actual gas supply costs, would only lead to an even lower endurance of the end price as far as consumers are concerned. It will have to include tariffs permitting both the return of the cost differences resulting from the anticipated end price reduction and operators’ costs under the applicable regulations.
