The Social Democrat MEP Corina Cre?u launched her first book, entitled “European Romania” on Saturday. This book is intended to reveal the significance of the activity of the persons elected to represent a nation to the European Parliament and its importance for the national legislation. “This book appeared due to a necessity – the necessity of presenting Romanian citizens the scale of activities assigned to a MEP. Our work in Brussels in not really known, because few Romanians are familiar with the institutional structure of the EU. It is important to emphasize that Romania has two capitals – Bucharest and Brussels – and that 60 per cent of the laws applied by EU members are adopted here,” Corina Cretu mentioned.
