Film on the murder of Marian Cozma, made in Hungary

The scene of the assassination of the Romanian handball player Marian Cozma was shot in a hotel in the Tapolca locality of Hungary. The shooting was also attended by Petre Cozma, the victim’s father.

A series of famous Hungarian actors perform the lead roles of this 85-90 minute long documentary, which will be structured in two parts and will be broadcasted in Budapest by the end of April.

In the meantime, the Hungarian police have accused two persons of complicity to the alleged authors of the murder.

The Hungarian daily paper Nepszabadsaga has ran an article claiming that one of the persons arrested by Hungarian police officers is the lover of the main suspect, Sandor R. This is not Hungary’s first initiative commemorating the late Romanian handball player, killed in Veszprem on February 8.

The fanclub of the team MKB Veszprem has started fundraising in order to build a monument in the memory of Marian Cozma. The Hungarian fans collected over EUR 10,000 in the initial days after the opening of the bank account.
