FM Diaconescu on official visit to London

Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu left last evening to London, for a two-day official visit. Diaconescu will meet his British counterpart David Miliband, PM Gordon Brown’s adviser on European affairs, John Cunliffe, the Conservatory opposition shadow government’s Foreign Secretary William Hague and members of the British Parliament’s group for Romania, the Foreign Ministry said in a release. Diaconescu will also hold a conference on ‘NATO transformation after Strasboug-Kehl: a Romanian Perspective’ and will have several meetings with businessmen and journalists. Climate change, energy, EU enlargement will top the agenda, along with issues such as the Western Balkans, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Iraq.
