PSD and PDL branches in conflict threatened with solutions imposed from Bucharest

The leadership of the PSD-PDL coalition will make decisions for the branches of the two parties that will not be able to resolve their differences over the co-operation protocol by the end of this week, Prime Vice-President of PD-L, Adriean Videanu, stated, according to Antena 3. Videanu said that, so far, there were still two or three cases of county organizations that had not dealt with their issues. However, Videanu would not name the branches where PSD and PDL had not sealed their co-operation protocol, only indicating that one such organization was Vrancea. Co-operation has not been signed in Olt either, although the two parties have started talks in that respect. Another county with issues in the coalition is Bistrita-Nasaud, where the PSD organization terminated its local protocol with PDL in early April, claiming that PDL in alliance with PNL had shared the budget to the detriment of the Social-Democratic mayors. Similar issues have been also reported on both sides in the Counties of Hunedoara and Constanta as well.
