Bucharest General Mayor Sorin Oprescu yesterday met with his Paris counterpart Bertrand Delanoe, while on a working visit to the French capital. Oprescu and Delanoe decided to sign a Pact of friendship and collaboration between Bucharest and Paris.

Talks also focused on traffic in both capital cities, social residences and solutions to build schools, kindergartens and day-care centers, according to a press release from the Bucharest City Hall.

Oprescu was accompanied to Paris by a delegation of directors and deputy directors of the City Hall. Besides the meeting between the two mayors, representatives of various City Hall departments, such as infrastructure, street administration, lake and parks administration, also had meetings with Paris city officials.
