Dorinel Munteanu has agreed with League II team U Cluj for a two-month contract that could be extended for two years, the ‘Ziua de Cluj’ local daily informs. Munteanu will thus return to the team that he had coached until November 2008 when he left for Steaua.
‘We have great confidence in him. He knows the team well and we are sure that he will save us from falling out of the League. The game against Mioveni is crucial’ a source from within the club stated for ‘Ziua de Cluj.’ Munteanu ‘will take over the number 8 jersey in the team, with the possibility of him playing this Saturday against Dacia Mioveni.’
U Cluj ranks 16th in League II, Series 2, registering 28 points.
