Romania’s national rugby team has defeated Papua New Guinea, score 50-17 (19-7), on Tuesday in Nairobi, during the first day of the U-20 World Cup in Kenya. The game counted for Division II, Group B. ‘The Oaks’ scored 8 tries. Rizea and Puisoru (2 each), Munteanu, Ciocan, Lazar and Patrascu (1 each). Patrascu also scored 5 conversions.
In the other Group B game, Chile defeated South Korea, score 49-21. Romania will next play against South Korea on April 25 and against Chile on April 29.
