Bogdan Marius Chiritoiu, new President of the Competition Council

President Traian Basescu signed on Monday evening the decree appointing Marius Bogdan Chiritoiu as President of the Competition Council for the forthcoming five years, the Presidential Administration announced according to Agerpres. Moreover, the document appointed Otilian Neagoe as Vice-President of the Competition Council and Mircea Valentin and Dan Ionescu as Competition Advisers and members of the Competition Council Plenum, for the same period of five years. Previously, Bogdan Marius Chiritoiu was a State Adviser in the Planning and Political Analysis Department of the Presidential Administration. On March 27, the National Integrity Agency (ANI) discovered that the President of the Competition Council, Gheorghe Oprescu, was in incompatibility. According to ANI, the integrity inspectors discovered that Gheorghe Oprescu was simultaneously President and member of the Competition Council Plenum, and an authorized natural person registered at the National Office of the Trade Registry under the name “Oprescu Gheorghe, authorized natural person.”
