Romanian final of the Challenge Cup

Never has Romanian handball encountered such a flattering opportunity: two teams of our country will play in the Challenge Cup final. Therefore, CSU Bucovina Suceava and UCM Resita will play in the last game of the competition. Presently at the first attendance to this stage of the European competition, CSU Bucovina Suceava represented a great surprise in the Challenge Cup this Sunday, when it qualified for the final by defeating the Swiss team BSV Bern Muru by 34–26 (15–14) in an away game. The first leg of the final will be played on the field of UCM Resita on May 23 and 24, and the return leg will be played a week later on the field of BCU Bucovina Suceava, with the trophy on the table.
