Lucian Bute seeks another adversary to replace Allan Green

The Romanian pugilist Lucian Bute has low chances to defend his IBF world title at the super-middleweight category by boxing with the American Allan Green at the Gala scheduled in July at Quebec and must find another adversary, Jean Bedard, the owner of the InterBox club announced.

Lucian Bute (24 victories) was scheduled to defend his IBF belt for the fourth time by competing against the American Allan Green (28 victories, 1 loss) yet the latter is more tempted by a struggle against the British Froch.

The promoter of the British Carl Froch, WBC world champion at the super-middleweight category, contacted Allan Green to propose a game that would be favourable for both sportsmen and highly attractive to American TV stations.

If he wins the game in July, Bute must confront again the Mexican Librado Andrade, his official challenger, before the end of the year 2009.
