‘Romania will convey the full support for the eastern partnership’

Romania will convey the message of full support for the Eastern Partnership and the measures meant to confer it substance at the soonest, but the success of this initiative will depend to a decisive extent also on the political and practical commitment of the partner states towards its objectives, PM Emil Boc declared prior to his participation yesterday in the proceedings of the Summit for the launching of the Eastern Partnership. The delegation taking part to the Summit for the launching of the Eastern Partnership in Prague includes vice Premier Dan Nica and the secretary of state in the Foreign Affairs Ministry Bogdan Mazuru. The Premier voiced his belief that by turning to life the Eastern Partnership real and durable benefits will be brought to the citizens of all the participating states, showing that the rapprochement to the European Union, in compliance with the individual objectives and aspirations, will be conditional on the fulfillment of some clear criteria connected with the European values and standards.

He pointed out that this EU initiative targets a higher level of the relations with the partner states, through the creation of the conditions for the political association and the deepening of the economic integration.
By the time the newspaper went to print, the visit of PM Boc to Prague was in progress.
