More complaints in line against Tomis Archbishop

Eight more priests are expected today to lodge claims with the National Anti-corruption Directorate against the archbishop of Tomis, His Holiness Teodosie, who is accused of abuse of power. The priests claim that loans have been taken up and donations made for the archbishop, which he used for personal purposes. The Suceava County monastery of Dorna Arini is one case in point, they say, where agro-tourist boarding houses were erected on this tract of land reserved, on paper, for this house of prayer. Last week, two priests filed a claim with the DNA against the Tomis archbishop, accusing him of abuse of office and grave deeds of corruption. The archbishop has not reacted to the allegations, as he is in Bari, Italy, with the purpose of bringing the holy relics of Saint Nicolae into the country, according to Antena 3 news channel.
