Liberals challenge Geoana CSAT vice-president ordinance in CC

Liberals lodged a complaint with the Constitutional Court (CC) yesterday against emergency ordinance (OUG) 22 whereby Senate Speaker Mircea Geoana became vice-president of the Supreme Council of National Defence. “Today, we have submitted a complaint with the CC against the CSAT emergency ordinance. The complaint was signed by 64 deputies,’ Mediafax quoted National Liberal Party (PNL) deputy George Scutaru as saying. Addressing a press conference a week ago, the Liberal lawmaker stated that in PNL’s view the ordinance is ‘aberrant.’
