President Traian Basescu will pay an official visit to France, upon invitation by his counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, the Presidential Administration announced. On agenda are official talks between the two heads of state, and meetings of the Romanian president with the chairman of the French National Assembly, Bernard Accoyer, and with Prime Minister Francois Fillon.
On the first day of his visit, the head of the Romanian state will also meet Angel Gurria, the secretary general of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and he will talk with members of the Romanian community in France. President Basescu will also attend a business forum organised by the French Employers Federation – MEDEF. On the second day of the trip, he will visit the Flamanville nuclear power plant.
President Traian Basescu previously paid working visits to France on November 21, 2005 and May 30-31, 2006.
