Nastase to support foundation of European Agency for Romas

Deputy Adrian Nastase, member of the Committee for Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, that organized a meeting on Monday, in Targu Mures, outlined again the necessity of founding a European Agency for Romas. ‘I think that the foundation of a European Agency for Romas is necessary because, otherwise, we would only move issues from one area to another,” Nastase declared during the reunion. In the first day of the reunion of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, another report was presented on the subject “The Situation of the Roma Minority in Europe and the Activities of the European Council in This Field,” authored by Jozsef Berenyi from Slovakia. According to the author, Romas are among the most vulnerable communities, under the present circumstances of the crisis. The reunion in Targu Mures is also attended by representatives of the Government, of specialized ONGs and of the Roma minority.
