Second edition of the “Folk Evening” event, on May 28

The second edition of the “Folk Evening” concert series will feature Victor Socaciu and Dinu Olarasu as guest stars and will take place at the Hard Rock Café in Bucharest.

The producer of the “Om Bun” National Folk Festival since 1991, TV show producer and deputy, Victor Socaciu will perform, beside his band “Biroul Executiv” for over an hour, some of the composition that brought him fame throughout his career: “La un ceai,” “Mama lor,” “Iubire fara acte,” “Oameni de zapada” and “Cantec pentru Charlie Chaplin,” the organizers declared. Victor Socaciu’s show will be preceded by Dinu Olarasu’s recital. Dinu Olarasu is one of the most famous lyrics’ writer in Romanian contemporary music. A poet, singer and composer, Olarasu was nicknamed “the elf of folk” and impressed the audience and critics alike by his unmistakable lyrics and harmonies, some of them performed by artists such as Alexandru Andries and Pasarea Colibri. The “Folk Evening” will feature the band Zbor as opening act. Zbor is one of the first bands that entered the competition for best debut, a competition that provides its winner the chance to record a few songs at a professional recording studio.
