INS announced the new coefficient used to sell the nationalized properties

The growth coefficient of the average net salary gains in March 2009 vs. January 1990 was 4,749.32 times, and vs. February 1992 it was 1,102.46 times, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced yesterday, Agerpres reports. This coefficient is communicated to the county and local councils, city halls, commercial companies and units specialized in the sale of dwellings in compliance with the provisions of Law 112/1995 regarding the sale/purchase of the nationalized dwellings.

According to the above-mentioned normative act, the total value of a flat restituted in kind and of the compensations due for the flats not restituted in kind and for the related plots of land cannot exceed the sum of the average salary revenues of a person over a period of 20 years, calculated at the time when the compensation is established. The evaluation is made by certified specialists, and the price is set taking into account the growth coefficient of the average net salary gains vs. January 1990, communicated, as a rule, by INS in the month following the quarter which has finished.
