Circus performances in Bucharest city centre

Circus lovers will have the opportunity this weekend to attend the second edition of the International Circus Art Festival, due to take place during May 26 – June 7 at the Union Park, the Drumul Taberei and the Titan Parks in Bucharest. The purpose of the festival is to turn Bucharest into a dynamic space by bringing children and parents the chance to watch performances produced by three of the world’s most important circuses: the “Salome” Circus from Germany, the “Le Masque” Circus from the USA and the “Berousek” National Circus from the Czech Republic. The inhabitants of Bucharest may watch the daily performances of the circuses attending the competition from 10.00 to 19.00. The performances of the “Salome” Circus will take place each day, starting at 17.00. The circuses will be placed in three different locations of Bucharest: the “Salome” Circus in the Union Park, the “Le Masque” Circus in the Drumul Taberei Park and the ‘Berousek” Circus in the Titan Park. Off the competition, the “Globus” Circus and Variety Theatre will present the audience and foreign guests the show “D’ale Bibicilor lui Caragiale,” a highly original initiative that combines moments from Caragiale’s plays performed by reputed actors with circus numbers. The shows will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 15.00, at the “Globus’ Circus and Variety Theatre located on the Circus Alley.

The tickets cost from RON 30 to 50 and will be available starting this Monday at the Titan Park, Drumul Taberei Park and the Union Park.
