After numerous great films and special exhibitions, film lovers will be offered free concerts. Four live music events will heat up the atmosphere in the yard of the Art Museum, at the TIFF Meeting Point.
On Wednesday, June 3, starting at 21.30, the Hungarian Day will be completed by a Zempol performance. Founded in 2007 and consisting of seven members, the band is famous for the complexity of the music genres approached, from progressive and ethno music to drum and break. On Thursday, June 4, starting at the same hour, the Focus Moldova section will be closed by the rhythmical melodies of the band Snails. The Snails made their debut with the album “Undeva,” launched in 2005 in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. In the autumn of 2007, the band released the second album “Nu-mi pasa,” that enjoyed well-deserved success. The evening of Friday, June 5, will feature another music event: the extraordinary concert of the band Grimus.
The series of great concerts hosted by the Meeting Point will close on Saturday, June 6, with a show by one of Romania’s most successful bands, AB4 (see photo). Founded in 2000, the band was influenced by Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Sonic Youth, Placebo and Limp Bizkit. In 2003, AB4 won the Best Romanian Act at the MTV Music Awards.
The band will perform at the TIFF Meeting Point, starting at 21.30.
