“Titus Andronicus,” to be presented by Japanese company at TNB

The theatre company Yamanote Jijosha from Japan will perform the show “Titus Andronicus” by William Shakespeare on Wednesday and Thursday, at the Workshop Hall of the National Theatre in Bucharest (TNB). The performance was also staged at the International Theatre Festival of Sibiu (May 28 – June 7). Yamanote Jijosha is the most important experimental theatre company from Japan, and the performance of the play “Titus Andronicus,” directed by Masahiro Yasuda, offers a new vision upon this well-known tragedy. The stage will be completely blue and the scenery consists of a television set, a fridge, a microwave heater and other household products.
