ANM: Yellow code warning for storms and hail

The meteorologists have issued yesterday a yellow code warning for rainfall, hail and storms. The warning will come into force on June 11 at 3 AM and will expire on June 12 at 3 PM. The atmospheric instability will be significant in Banat, Crisana, Maramures, Transylvania, northern Moldova, Western and Northern Oltenia and will manifest itself through wind speed hikes and storms.


The rainfall quantity will surpass 25-30 liters per square meter locally. In isolated mountain areas that quantity will range from 40 to 45 liters per square meter. Hail will be registered in isolated areas.


In the second half of the day today the temperatures will be fairly high and few rainfalls will be registered. Starting this afternoon, rainfalls and thunderstorms are forecast for central, western and northern regions, with the clouds set to stretch across the country. The week-end will be warm throughout the country according to the specialists. Thunderstorms will be registered in the mountainside.
