Ion Moraru – validated secretary general of Senate

The Plenum of Senate validated yesterday the former Social-Democrat Senator Ion Moraru in the office of secretary general. Senators approved with 82 votes for, five abstentions and three against the release of Dan Constantin Vasiliu from the office of secretary general and the appointment in his place of Ion Moraru, starting today, June 11. The former secretary general will become deputy secretary general, being validated by the plenum in the place of Constantin Sava, with 83 votes for, two abstentions and two votes against. Ion Moraru will be replaced in the office of deputy secretary general of the Government, which he has held so far, by Vlad Manastireanu, secretary general at the office of vice-premier Dan Nica.
