The teams FC Timisoara and CFR Cluj will play the final of the Romanian cup on the evening of Saturday, June 13, starting at 20.45, at Targu Jiu, after having defeated the teams Dinamo Bucharest and respectively FC Vaslui. FC Timisoara has qualified in the final after having defeated in Cluj – Napoca, by 4–1 (1–0), the team Dinamo Bucharest, in the first semi-final of the competition. In the second semi-final, at Urziceni, CFR Cluj registered a victory of 2–0 versus the team FC Vaslui. The tickets for the final were sold out since Wednesday, only a few dozens of minutes after they were issued. The organizers announced that 2,500 tickets for the Saturday match would be sold in Targu Jiu, but no more than 1,900 arrived in the end. 1,000 of them were offered to the sponsors by the Pandurii club and the remaining 900 were sold-out in less than an hour at the box offices. Cristian Balaj will be the referee of the Romanian Cup final, supported by assistants Cristian Nica and Aurel Onita, the interim President of CCA, Ioan Igna declared. The reserve referee of the game will be Marius Avram.
