“Manele” singer Vali Vijelie, also known as Valentin Rusu, is one of the persons whose driving licenses got suspended by the Prefect of Arges County, Marcel Proca, due to the dubious circumstances of their issuing. “Prosecutors demanded in Court that the driving license of Mr. Valentin Rusu would be cancelled, as the procedure of mutation was not appropriately completed,” Prefect Marcel Proca outlined yesterday. The checking in this case showed that Vali Vijelie, whose residence is in Bolintin Deal, Giurgiu County, moved to the Ciobanesti village, in Babana Commune, Arges County, on February 29, 2008, in order to get a driving license in Arges County. Some of the public personalities whose driving licenses were suspended for similar reasons were the Mayor of Bucharest District 4, Cristian Popescu – Piedone, as well as the footballers Cosmin Moti and Adrian Ropotan. Up to the time being, 71 persons submitted their suspended driving licenses to the Traffic Police Department of the Arges County Police Inspectorate.
