Policeman’s son shoots Craiova woman in the head

A 19-year-old woman was shot in the head with a hunting rifle by the son of a local policeman at his address in Craiova. Preliminary investigations have established that the young woman from the commune of Celaru, who was renting the property of the 20-year-old man, in the Jietului Street in Craiova, was accidentally shot by the man who was moving the rifle from one room into another, Dolj Police spokesperson says. The victim is in the Craiova County hospital in serious condition. The authorities are trying to determine if the rifle was being properly stored.

The young man’s father is a policeman at Craiova Station no. 1 and his rifle was legally registered.

Two people shot in Bucharest park

A 33-year-old and a 16-year-old were shot in the Bucharest IOR Park Wednesday evening. Bucharest Police Spokesman Christian Ciocan has confirmed the two shot victims with wounds to the legs and buttocks.

Ciocan informs that a man and a woman were escorted to Police Station no. 12 for interviews, after telling the Police that they had been assaulted by the two victims and that the other two had fired their gun to protect them.
