Over 100 households flooded in Maramures County

The unfavourable weather continued over this week end, as well, the storms and heavy rains affecting several regions of the country. Maramures County could not escape this time of problems, also, several households from Sighetu Marmatiei being flooded, and several trees being torn by winds down along DN 18, Mediafax informs.

Because of the storm, a group of ten tourists who were in chalet at Dealul Hera were evacuated.

Problems existed also in Baia Mare, where four persons were rescued during the night of Friday to Saturday, from a mini bus which was amid floods when exiting Maramures village Rona de Sus, along the route to Costiui.

More than one hundred households were flooded, in the area, after Ronisoara River over-flooded its banks.

In order to remove the water from the households, and to clean the sidewalk from vegetal remains and river brought sand, the intervention of the firemen from Maramures Emergency Situations Inspectorate was required.

Hunedoara municipal was also affected by storm, several trees being torn down by the wind, and a few cars were damaged.

Also, the basement of a house from Carpati Street and that of a pharmacy on Dacia Avenue were flooded because of rains. A strong storm, which lasted less than one hour, produced floods in Ploiesti, as well.
