Nastase banned from Transilvania Expressway site

Former premier accuses Basescu and Berceanu.

The president of PSD National Council, Adrian Nastase, and several Social-Democrat leaders, who wanted to visit the site of Transilvania Expressway, were prevented by an employee of Bechtel company who told them that they may not go in, and they observed the prohibition.

According to Mediafax, Adrian Nastase said that the ban was ordered by the transport minister Radu Berceanu. “Maybe they build here a nuclear plant and we don’t know. I deem it outraging. Those who issued the instructions are minister Radu Berceanu and the people from CNADNR, and those from Bechtel could do nothing,” Nastase complained.

The president of PSD National Council added that he considers inimical and politically incorrect what Berceanu did, “I am sure that upon the instructions of Traian Basescu.” He also stated that he was not wrong when he called Basescu premier, not president, in the conditions in which the head of state behaves like a prime minister and orders the Government to take certain measures. “Since he goes to the Government when he wants, and establishes what he wants, what is the use of the Government? He settled the pact for education and that for health at Cotroceni, and now I have heard that he wants a pact for agriculture also at Cotroceni,” Nastase added.
