Suspended prison sentence for author of Kisellef murder

The magistrates of Sector 1 Court sentenced Anamaria Straus, author of the lethal accident occurred on Kiseleff Blvd. from Bucharest, to two years in prison with suspension, and the payment of EUR 135,000 as moral damages to the family of the student from the Republic of Moldova, victim of the accident. Moreover, SC Allianz Tiriac Asigurari SA, the insurer of the car, must pay a civil liability of EUR 10,000, representing material damages, and EUR 200,000 of moral damages.

The decision of Sector 1 Court is not final, and can be attacked by appeal.
