36th A/H1N1 flu case confirmed in Iasi

One of the two Iasi female pupils who came into contact with the young British men sick with the flu is 36th confirmed case of A/H1N1 influenza (swine flu). They were both admitted into hospital Tuesday evening as suspected to have the flu. This is the 10th such case confirmed in iasi.

The director of the Iasi Public Health Department, Vasile Cepoi, was reported by Mediafax as saying that one of the two said pupils had been confirmed Wednesday evening to carry the A/H1N1 virus.

Cepoi added that the virus has not been confirmed in the other female pupils admitted Tuesday, while the results of the tests ran on the other four female youth admitted into the infectious disease hospital Wednesday morning are yet to come.

The four female youth, who reside at a pupils’ hostel in Iasi, went into the Iasi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Wednesday morning, as suspected of being sick with swine flu. Test results for the other two Romanian female in the same hospital came in Wednesday evening.
