The German singer Sandra, famous for her disco songs launched during the ‘80s, such as “Maria Magdalena,” will perform at the Palace Hall in Bucharest on November 6, the organizer of the event, Project Events announces.
Sandra Ann Lauer was born in Germany, on May 18, 1962. Her breakthrough song was Maria Magdalena, released in 1985. She also joined the Enigma project of her former husband Michael Cretu.
The Bucharest concert is part of a tour that promotes Sandra’s latest album “Back to Life,” released in March. The album includes 15 songs, as well as the new single “The Night Is Young,” a duet with Modern Talking member Thomas Andres. The album was recorded in New York, with producer Toby Gad (author of the songs “If I Were a Boy,” (Beyonce) and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” (Fergie). During her Bucharest show, the artist will perform new songs, as well as the hits that brought her a great fame throughout the 80s: “In the Heat of the Night,” “Everlasting Love,” and “Hi Hi Hi.” In December 2007, Sandra performed a show in Sinaia. The concert is organized by the company Project Events, the one that brought C. C. Catch in Romania as well, at the Palace Hall, by the beginning of April.
