Mutu wants to remain at Fiorentina

Romanian football player Adrian Mutu has stated that he wants to remain at Fiorentina, his current club, Italy’s ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ daily reports, quoted by Agerpres.

‘I am more than certain that I will remain at Fiorentina. The Champions League preliminaries are our goal, a goal that should not be missed,’ Mutu said, adding that the team will try to obtain ‘more than it did last season.’ Fiorentina has qualified for the fourth preliminary round of the Champions League.

Having recovered from a series of surgeries to his knee and elbow, ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ considers the player the club’s biggest win this summer.

Last season Mutu played 19 games for Fiorentina and scored 13 goals, almost all of them decisive.
