The last week of Rene Magritte’s photos at MNAR

The lovers of plastic arts can still admire until Sunday, the last visiting day, the exhibition “Faithfulness of the images. Rene Magritte and photography,” organized by the National Art Museum of Romania (MNAR) and Wallonia-Brussels Delegation in Bucharest.

Opened in Kretzulescu halls, the exhibition, a real incursion into the artistic universe of the great Magritte, includes 59 photos taken by the surrealist painter Rene Magritte during 1925-1955. Their themes are particularly the family and his friends, among whom the writers Louis Scutenaire, Paul Nouge, Marcel Marien, Paul Colinet, Irene Hamoir and, of course, his wife, Georgette Magritte, and his brother Paul. The exhibition represents an event within the Agreement of bilateral cooperation between Romania and Wallonia-Brussels French Community for the period 2008-2010.
